Jefferson in Paris

Embassy of the United States, Paris

An 85 cm bust of Thomas Jefferson for the Embassy of the United States in Paris, identical to Jefferson in Athens apart from its size.

The bust was created to mark the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Petrides modeled the head from four period portraits regarded as among the best likenesses of Jefferson.
