Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Hamptons

The Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Hamptons installed this over-life-size bust of Constantine the Great, c. AD 272–337. He played a central role in establishing legal toleration for Christianity within the Roman Empire.
The sculpture depicts him at the Battle of the Milvian Bridge, fought outside Rome in 312; tradition holds that Constantine saw a heavenly sign of the cross and went on to victory.
The sculpture was installed in September 2025, during the Apostolic Visit of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew to Southampton, when the Patriarch elevated the Dormition church to a cathedral.
