Garth Evans is considered one of the best living sculptors - his work is held by the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Nasher Sculpture Collection, and many other museums. He visited my studio in April 2019 to review work, both finished and in process. He chose Alex Withdrawn (and another, smaller one) as his favorites from my packed studio. Later, art critic David Cohen of Artcritical singled it out in a group show. With that level of approbation, I decided to produce a series, but rather than make each one identical, a professional patineur and I created unique finishes for each...ranging from blue to green to red to yellow to greens.
