Alex Withdrawn

Garth Evans — one of the finest living sculptors, whose work is held by the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Nasher Sculpture Collection — visited George Petrides's studio in April 2019 and singled out Alex Withdrawn as a favourite. Art critic David Cohen of Artcritical later echoed that judgment in a group exhibition review. In response, Petrides produced a series of editions in which no two patinas are identical: each piece ranges across blue, green, red, yellow, and beyond, hand-finished by a professional patineur.
